Dubai, UAE: My first encounter with the Arabian Park Hotel, Jadaf, Dubai, was on a rainy morning in March 2010.  I had just enrolled for the Certified Networker Program organized by the Referral Institute, Dubai. I had never heard of Jadaf before (I live in New Dubai) and as a nervous driver, I found driving to an unknown place in Dubai on a rainy morning, with just a map to guide me, quite nerve wrecking. This was to be one of my many stretches out of my comfort zone.

For a secluded area like Jadaf, I was really surprised to find the hotel’s reception area packed with guests. The free shuttle buses were packed to the brim. That was when I thought, there is more to the Arabian Park hotel than that meets the eye.

I have since visited the hotel at least 20 times (the Certified Networker Program by the Referral Institute runs for 12 consecutive weeks).  Even some of the BNI (Business Network International) chapters meet up here.  The business centre is professionally run; so far I have been made to feel comfortable while the courses run. Even the main restaurant is bustling with energy where I have had very cool one-to-one meetings with potential referral partners, over a bowl of nutritious minestrone soup and a devious prawn tempura dish.

When I decided to do the Certified Networker Program the second time round early this year (warning: the Certified Networker Program can become mildly addictive especially for those who believe in self development and continuous learning), I realised how close the hotel was to the Airport, the Wafi Mall as well as the newly opened metro, the Al wasl hospital and 10 minutes drive from Bur Juman as well as 15 minutes drive from the Dubai Mall (the realization, I meekly admit, came from the number of times I took the incorrect route and got lost).  My curious mind wanted to know if the hotel rooms were as special as all the other aspects of the hotel that I had experienced to date. That’s when I decided that a review was in order.

To start with, the Arabian Park Hotel is an extremely affordable hotel for the business, corporate and leisure visitor to Dubai.  Each floor has a library area with wireless internet access in addition to a business centre and private meeting rooms. So if you fancy getting away from the bustling reception area and your hotel room for some peace and quiet, the library area is definitely something to use.

On all my trips to the hotel, I have found the customer service brilliant. The staff at the reception are warm and welcoming. The hotel room was nice, bright and clean. The room floor was not carpeted which was a bit of a surprise for me (having been used to carpeted hotel floors).  I must admit, the uncarpeted experience did make me feel like I was in Goa at the beach side.

As for the location of the hotel, it depends on where your business meetings are going to be. Malls in close proximity including the Wafi Mall (note: The Arabian Park Hotel belongs to the Wafi group), Dubai Festival City and Dubai Mall.  It is also easy to get to the Dubai International Airport from the hotel. A newly opened metro station near the hotel also makes it easy to get to different parts of Dubai without the trouble of hiring a taxi. The free shuttle service between selected malls, the airport and the hotel at scheduled times is a much-appreciated and definite add-on benefit of staying at the Arabian Park Hotel.

The swimming pool of the hotel is on the ground floor and is a quiet haven from the busy reception area. It’s definitely a very busy hotel with plenty of business visitors at all times.

Finally, I Iove the concept of referral partnership at the hotel. As a hotel guest, I was gifted with discount vouchers to use at the Wafi mall restaurants as well as discount voucher to the Cleopatra Spa.  This idea of partnership definitely enriched the overall experience I had at the hotel.

As the hotel is situated away from busy roads and highways, it does not matter much what the best room view is as all views are peaceful and serene. I definitely slept well at nights and can recommend it for your stay at Dubai.

And here questions of type such if honestly strike me not much as I wrote everything higher. It is visible you simply you don’t want to read all this. As my parrot does.
