May 31st, 2015, saw the opening of the Memories of Taiwan art exhibition at Abu Dhabi’s The Space, in the twofour54 building. Organized by the Henosis events and inaugurated by Omar Chen, Consul, Commercial Office of the Republic of China (Taiwan), Dubai, UAE. I was one of the four artists whose artwork and photography was on display and for this I remain grateful. The exhibition ran through the summer of 2015.
You can read more about the idea behind my work on the Wanderarti website, which describes my work in detail.
Showcasing two of my artworks and four soul-stirring photographs, this was a dream come true. I grew up in Abu Dhabi and my mother before me showcased her art through various art exhibitions in Abu Dhabi, when I was growing up. I must have been influenced by her entrepreneurial mindset and now, decades later, I have officially followed in her footsteps, but designing my own path into arts and wellness.
Not to forget my dear father who influenced me (though he knows not) from the photography and videography point of view. I still remember going through all the National Geographic magazines that he subscribed to, the feeling of being that travel photographer and world wanderlust still exists today in my heart. I was never tired of flipping through the photos that my father took, and I was so curious about the red room, where they would develop their photography.
Enjoy the photos!
PS: The original paintings and photography prints are available for purchase.
