In all my years visiting handcrafted fairs, I’ve never seen such paintings, all constructed with crushed egg shells. I had to stop and hop back to the vendor to have another look.  This happened at the Market day in St. Albans, United Kingdom.

This reminds me of a painting I did as a child, based on a saying that my mother taught me. the painting was of a broken egg, but the saying was much more thought provoking. Here it goes:

“Eggs and words should be handled with care,

For the eggs once broken and the words once spoken are the hardest thing to repair.”

Has anyone ever done broken eggshell paintings of this calibre? If yes, please share with me. I would love to hear from you.
