We rarely walk down St. George street in St. Albans because we don’t like walking on downhill. But we are grateful we did, this time otherwise Rose & Dylan gift shop would have remained undiscovered.

This store is full of handcrafted work from various artisans in and around Hertfordshire.

We already interviewed Jo Heckett and we wish we had the time to interview the other artisans as well. Perhaps next time.

Holly, the gift store’s manager makes lovely buntings and luxury cushions. Heather’s handbags have reached the attention of celebrities – like the ice cream cones and chocolate designs oozing from her handbags.  Hazel Atkinson’s anodised aluminium jewelry are to dye (die?) for – what with the tempting and luscious colour combinations for every jewelry piece.  MaaP studio is known for its hearty ceramic jewelry  – really fancied the earring dangles.  Ridley and Dowse’s stainless steel pendants are chunky ‘n cool.

Rose & Dylan's Manager, lovely Holly with her handmade luxury royalty cushions. We heart these.

Not to forget the most important accessories according to us – crochet hooks and wool – the range of designer yarns including Debbie Bliss, Noro and Louisa Harding. For those who are crazy about knitting, not to fear, Knit Pro needles are available.

Here is our video podcast on the gorgeous gift shop.  More photos follow after the video.

And here questions of type such if honestly strike me not much as I wrote everything higher. It is visible you simply you don’t want to read all this. As my parrot does.
