Dubai 2012: The interesting part of the the Artscape of World Cultures workshops was that the clay used in each workshop was different. For the Coin Making workshop, we used a dark brown air dry clay. We were free to use our own designs and the coin workshop saw me making a coin based on my own legacy in the imaginary queendom of Jan D’Sa. I inscribed in both the Arabic and Hindi scripts on one side. The other side was written in English. Wonder what the generations 1000 years from now would think of my coin when they discover it!
