Dubai, 2012: Sadly, someone took my oil lamp and either threw it in the bin or took it home with them, despite the fact that I had written my name on the plate that the oil lamp was standing. Surely, there is no other person with my name, now is there?

The clay used in this oil lamp is of the one that potters use to make their pots. While you can leave it to dry, the best way to seal it is to fire it in a kiln. Perhaps it was just as well that someone dumped my oil lamp, otherwise who knows, it could have broken when I brought it home.
