A few weeks ago, I wrote about my experience at the Arabian Park Hotel, Jadaf, Dubai. This week the focus is on the Park Hotel Apartments, a few minutes walk from the Arabian Park hotel.

Where the Arabian Park Hotel was busy and vibrant, the apartments were quiet and peaceful – far from the madding crowd, I would say. As a writer and researcher, when I am not attending meetings, working in peaceful, quiet surroundings is an absolute must. The apartments provided me with this ideal surroundings.

After my experience with Thai homes in Bangkok, I’m a great lover of wooden floors. Wooden floors symbolise grounding, peace, stability in times of prosperity and in times of paucity.  All the apartments at the Park Hotel Apartments are lined with wooden flooring and I was nearly zen-ned out on many an occasion. I found the apartments to be beautifully decorated and very self contained.

The lobby

A bit more on the apartment block facilities. There are 84 apartments in total, studio apartments for the business  traveller, one-bedroom apartments for those like me, who like to work seated in front of the TV, or at the dining table, or at the bedroom table, or even at the kitchen table (there were enough internet cables to use around the apartment) and two bedroom apartments for the family.  Fully equipped kitchens  meant that I had a steady stream of coffee.

Majlis- the breakfast area

The majlis is actually the breakfast area - well lit and a place that I used for contemplation while having a rather healthy intercontinental breakfast. Photos © Park Hotel Apartments

And not to forget the underground parking.  I remembered on one occasion when a thunderstorm rose out of nowhere and hammered the Jadaf area. I was relieved that I had parked my car in the basement, away from the torrential type rains.

Again, I cannot stress enough the easy access and location to the Wafi mall, Al Wasl hospital, Dubai Festival City, the metro, as well as the Dubai International Airport.  All in all, the Park Hotel Apartments are ideal for business travellers as well as extended families, providing everything you can possibly need to feel right at home.

And here questions of type such if honestly strike me not much as I wrote everything higher. It is visible you simply you don’t want to read all this. As my parrot does.
